- Curator's comments
- Attributed to Raffaellino del Garbo by Popham (1935) and Berenson; Popham and Pouncey felt, despite its poor condition, that it was more likely to be by Filippino. Shoemaker does not include it in her catalogue of Lippi drawings.

Fitzroy Phillipps Fenwick of Thirlestaine House, Cheltenham', London, 1935, p. 6, no. 5 (as Raffaellino del Garbo); B. Popham & Pouncey 1950
Like the preceding drawing this study was assigned in the Fenwick Catalogue to Raffaellino del Garbo and this attribution was accepted by Berenson. The poor condition of the surface makes it impossible to judge the style, which would appear, however, to be not far removed from Filippino's.
