Turner, 'Italian Drawings in the BM, Roman Baroque Drawings', London, 1999, I, no. 35 Turner 1999 This is a finished design, in the same direction, for a print, dated 1680, by Jacques Blondeau (1655-98) (Graf, 1986, II, fig.A 115). The connection was first pointed out by Dr Simonetta Prosperi Valenti Rodino in a pencil note on the old backing. Literature: Popham, 1935, I, p. 151, no. 2 (as Carlo Maratti).
