'The architectural antiquities of Great Britain, represented and illustrated in a series of views, elevations, plans, sections, and details, of ancient English edifices. With historical and descriptive accounts of each. By John Britton, F.S.A. In five volumes. Vol. I' (London: M.A. Nattali) 1835; containing 58 etchings by various printmakers showing ruins, architectural details, plans, interiors and elevations of buildings. Together with two illustrated title-pages, both etched by John Smith, the first after J. Britton and the second after P. Gyfford, the main title-page with text within ornamental wood-engraved frame by O. Jewitt; with index and list of prints at the back. Bound in green half-leather, with marbled covers, raised bands and gold tooled design at the spine, and marbled endpapers. Etching with some engraving
