- This drawing and 1943,1113.75 were print studies for a Dutch edition of Plutarch in 13 volumes, published in 1789 by Johannes Allart in Amsterdam. This drawing is from volume 1. We are grateful to Jan Kort (email Jan 2021) for informing us of the connection with Allart’s publication.
