- Acquisition notes
- 1943,0410.2 to 2625 was acquired en bloc from Suckling Co. See Hind's report to the Trustees 6 April 1943. Suckling had checked their stock against the BM portrait catalogue and put aside any missing items, which were then checked by PD staff. In 1939 the BM acquired 375 prints (letters A-BUL) (see 1939,1014.24 to 145). This group acquired in 1943 covers the letters BUR-S, and the acquisition was made using funds provided by the National Art Collections Fund.
