(London: James Carpenter, 1843), not on the list of plates hence an extra illustration; for letters from Constable to Leslie about his visit to Lord Egremont, see pages 95-96.
According to Andrew Loukes, the sketch of an old barn at Arundel on the letter addressed to Leslie was made 16 July 1834. (see Constable at Petworth, exh., p. 32).
