Plate 8; A satire on the 1848 French revolution; François Guizot is depicted whole length with his fists clenched down by his sides, as he angrily looks up at the ceiling, to the left is a desk with a quill and papers upon it and nailed to the wall behind is a sign reading "Ministere des Affaires Etrangères", in the background on the right hand side is a bust of Louis Philippe where his head is shaped like a pear; No. 8 of an unnamed series; bound in an album. c.1848
