Two large figures, standing, whole lengeth, on the left that of Marianne, holding a flag on which is written "République Universel", on the right a man with a sword; between them they hold a thread or wire from which hang two figures: Emperor Nicholas I of Russia, above whom "Russie" is printed and Emperor Ferdinand I of Austria, above whom "Autriche" is written; Frederick William IV of Prussia ("Prusse" is written next to him) has just fallen from the wire towards a large pot below him in which Louis Philippe sits; the words "Enfer des Mauvais Rois" are inscribed upon the pot; bound in an album.
