'The smuggler's leap. A legend of Thanet. By Thomas Ingoldsby. Illustrated by Jane E. Cook, author of "The sculptor caught napping"' (London, The Autotype Company) 1877; containing 3 photomechanical images of paper-cut images by Sane Cook, each print with two scenes. Together with frontispiece showing papercut scene with a man leaning on a fence talking to a young woman, other figures around them, below a second scene shows men rolling barrels out of a ship, title-page letterpress in black and red, with wood-engraved vignette of a woman on a sheel with four cherubs above, wood-engraved ornaments, headpiece and intial letter within the text. Bound in green bookcloth, with gold and black tooling on cover showing title within ornamental border, same border on back cover, grey endpapers, gilded edges.
