- 1938,1008.13 to 102 consists of the 90 drawings which comprised lot 157 in the posthumous Shannon sale at Sotheby's 9 June 1938. The BM bid unsuccessfully at the sale, where it was bought by Mr Wheeler of 23 Ryder Street. Hind then got him to offer it to the BM for £120, at which price it was purchased by the NACF and presented to the BM. (See letter in Reports of 29 June 1938).
