Plate 5: designs for frames; a small rectangular frame, surmounted by an escutcheon surrounded by Mercury, two putti and a dragon, is set inside a larger frame which actually consists of the halves of two different frames joined together; the right half, octogonal, features putti and trophies of arms; the left half, oval, is supported by a slave; Fame leans in the upper part; the whole frame is surmounted by a winged figure sitting among trophies of arms and holding a wreath Engraving
