This is a copy in reverse after the painting by Titian, formerly in the Church of San Nicolo dei Frari in Venice, but transferred to Rome at the end of the seventeenth century and now in the Pinacoteca Vaticana.
The plate is a copy of an earlier etching by Valentin Lefèbre, see 1891,0511.12.
