Plate 104: in the foreground to left, a woman holding a large spoon is seated by the fireplace where a cauldron hangs over the fire; she casts a sidelong glance at a man seated close to her, who holds a clay pipe and leans on the back of her chair; they are screened by a wooden partition from another man - the lover (?) - who is about to leave the room quietly, holding his shoes in one hand, one foot on a step, but who cranes his neck in their direction; rustic interior with a barrel, a tripod table with a glass on it, a wooden pail, jugs, etc.; after Jean Baptiste Madou
