A dandy (right) stands on the pavement splashed on dress and face by liquid mud from a cart (1eft) into which are being thrown the contents of a large deep puddle in the cobble-stones of the roadway. The two scavengers are shown by a thin leg in patched breeches and two shovels which project into the design from the 1eft. 15 October 1821
