The 'Venus' stands in profile to the right holding her tall pole and smoking a pipe, giving a coy sideways glance. She is nude with the accustomed trapping and wears a patterned skull cap with a bead tassel. On her posterior a cupid sits astride, aiming his arrow downwards and to the right; he says: Take care of your Hearts!! October 1822
