- Description
-
A comely lady and a military officer amorously engaged on a sofa are alarmed by a judge's head which leans down towards them in furious anger from a bust portrait. The head projects from the judge's wig. The room is handsomely furnished; guitar, cocked hat, decanters, and fruit on a table decorated with ram's heads are grouped together. Similar in character to No. 11690, and perhaps after Rowlandson.
