- Study for SL.5214.18. The old attribution to Beckman is explained by the fact that Beckman was in Tangier seven years before Hollar, and during his stay made plans of the town and its surroundings for which he drew up a scheme of fortification. Two of these plans on vellum are in the British Library (Maps K.Top.117.77. and 78.).
