Alpine scene with children tending goats on the edge of a village; on the left two young women stand at the door of a cottage looking at a child tending a goat at their feet; two other children embrace a goat in the foreground; another runs in from the right holding out her apron; in the background, to left, goats approach along a road leading down from mountains, and, to right; half-timpbered houses and a church in a valley.

- Removed for conservation reasons from the second volume of Bull's 'Honorary Engravers', see 1931,0413.1.
The dating of the print is based on the incomplete inscription and the fact that Henrietta Spencer Ponsonby became Countess of Bessborough in 1793. She was the younger sister of Georgiana, Duchess of Devonshire.
