Curator's comments
This is the first of eleven prints in the British Museum from a series of sixteen. They were cut by an anonymous cutter whose monogram like an anchor on its side occurs on some of the prints. They are after designs by Grandi whose name appears on 'the assumption and coronation of the Virgin' (1927,0614.143).
