The forge, illustration to the eponymous poem by Thomas Hood; view at night of a large forge where five men are working, which is beseiged by a crowd of evil creatures, snakes, giant spiders and centipedes, birds and dragons, and demons and ghouls; with a forest of firs and lake on the right; proof beofre all letters.
