Bound in green leather with gold tooling on the spine and blind tooling design on the covers, with pasted title-page by Aubert & Cie.

- See also 1919,1019.3. A note left by David Kunzle, author of 'Father of the Comic Strip: Rodolphe Töpffer' (Univ. Press of Mississippi, 2007) with with 1919,1019.3:
"This volume is actually a plagiary of 1841 by Aubert in Paris, of the original by Töpffer first printed and semi-published in Geneva 1833 (the date on most copies) and generally distributed in 1835, the date given (with a ?) in the ML Catalogue, and in a few copies I have seen".
Altough this not refers to another volume, it is clearly also the case with this one. Also known as 'Histoire de monsieur Crépin'.
