- From "Iconographie des contemporains depuis 1789", a series of lithographic portraits of French figures active in 1789-1828, first published by Delpech in the late 1820s/early 1830s. The portraits usually consist of a bust-length depiction of the subject, and a facsimile of his or her signature.
There were two versions of the series, an in-folio version (first 'livraison' recorded on 2 August 1823; last 'livraison' recorded on 23 June 32) and an in-octavo one (last livraison recorded on 23 March 1833). Both versions consist of 202 prints issued in 50 'livraisons'.
The print was registered on 14 February 1829.
Also see ""Iconographie française" for series of portraits of French figures active from the 15th century to 1789; and "Célébrités contemporaines" for series of figures active from 1828.
