Satire on the government of Louis Philippe, showing Persil, Madier de Montjau, Schonen, Dupin, Etienne and other politicians dancing with ugly women; on the left, Soult and another man sitting at a table and observing a model of the Palais de la Bourse; beyond, near the door, Thiers trying to stop Marshal Lobau from drinking from a clyster; at centre, a man sticking his finger into Barthe's eye; on the right, d'Argout and Viennet playing music on a balciony, and below Louis Philippe trying to get some cider from a cook; ninth plate for La Caricature's 'Association mensuelle lithographique'. - 'L'Association mensuelle lithographique' is a special edition of 'La Caricature' created in 1832 by Philipon to cover legal costs. For an extra franc, subscribers to 'L'Association Mensuelle' received an exclusive lithograph printed on white paper.
