Satire on Louis Philippe's reign, showing Marianne being tried in a court of justice presided by Barthe, who sits at centre with Dupin sitting on his right, Thiers taking notes; behind Marianne, Lobau and another officer; on the left, the jury, consisting of Louis Philippe, Soult, Persil and others; Louis Philippe stands up and reads the verdict, his face hidden behind the sheet of paper, and pronounces Marianne guilty; in the foreground, several figures rejoicing, and Madier de Montjau turning towards the viewer; second plate for La Caricature's 'Association mensuelle lithographique'.
