- An impression of this print was first shown at an exhibition of Nevinson's official war art held at the Leicester Galleries, London between 1 March and 5 April 1918 (no. 45). The exhibition included 19 prints, 11 lithographs, 6 drypoints and 2 woodcuts. The image is related to a painting in oil on canvas that Nevinson made in 1917 (current whereabouts unknown), which was shown in the same exhibition (no. 21).
