'Scraps from the sketch book of Henry Alken, engraved by himself, containing forty-two coloured plates' (London: Thomas McLean) 1823; containing 42 hand-coloured soft-ground etchings by Alken showing mostly sporting scenes, with multiple vignettes per plate; including frontispiece showing vignettes of a horse and dog's head, two men on horseback, a dog running and a hunter with two dogs, title-page and bookplate of Thomas Philip Earl de Grey, at West Park. Bound in red half-leather, label on cover with gold tooled title and border.
