- A study for Ceres in the 'Apotheosis of Hercules' on the ceiling of the Salon d'Hercule at Versailles which Lemoyne completed in 1736, illustrated Bordeaux 1985, fig. 89. Another BM drawing is related to the same project, 1850,0309.1. As Jean-Luc Bordeaux notes the position of the head of Ceres, a seated figure located behind Hercules in the ceiling, corresponds to that in the ceiling and differs from that in the oil modello in Versailles (Bordeaux fig. 89b).
The ink inscription 'le Moyne' is found on other autograph drawings by the artist, denoting that they once belonged to the same owner, other examples include works in Berlin and Stockholm, Bordeaux nos. D. 57 and 58.
