Photomechanical reproduction of Edmund Dulac's 1912 watercolour, 'The Musical Soirée'; an eighteenth-century themed entertainment in a lavish room at the home of the art collectors Edmund and Mary Davis, many of the figures caricatured; the hosts dancing a minuet at the centre, the artist Clare Atwood seated behind on a sofa; standing to the back and to left, Charles Ricketts and Charles Shannon; seated at bottom left in profile, the artist's wife, Elsa, and Mrs Halford, Mary Davis' sister; to right, two musicians and two men dressed as soldiers, one interfering with a maid; the artist drawing at bottom r, looking over his shoulder to the viewer.

- This image is described by Colin White in his 'Edmund Dulac' (New York: Charles Scribner's Sons, 1976), pp. 52-3. He erroneously locates the original watercolour in the British Museum, but his plate no. 36 is actually taken from this reproductive print.
