- Curator's comments
- The prints in this album were acquired as part of a larger group, (1915,0508.316 to 584). Together they formed the four volumes of Henry Graves & Co's publication of engravings after the works of Reynolds. For this see 1875,0508.1711 to 1912, which comprise the first three (only) of the same series. In 1915 the prints from the first three volumes were split up, and most were placed in the series of British portraits. The fourth volume was kept together and placed with the three volumes of the 1875 acquisition, those three volumes being duplcaites of the three albums acquired in 1875..
For the relationship of the publication of Henry Graves & Co to the 1820s series by S.W.Reynolds, see 1875,0508.1711.
