- This is the headpiece to Livre IV ('Molière peint par lui même') from 'Molière, sa femme et sa fille (page 98 in the book).
The portrait of Sébastien Bourdon was engraved after Rigaud (see plate engraved after the same painting by Laurent Cars, 1853,0611.198).
The portrait of Mignard and Le Brun reproduces a painting (a double portrait), also by Rigaud (Louvre, inv. 7508).
