- As the previous drawing, the Tietzes catalogued this as Domenico, making a comparison with their no. 1488, a standing nude in the National Gallery of Scotland (D 1655) which they believed on account of an old inscription was a touchstone for understanding Domenico's style.
The BM drawing, with the right hand figure abruptly cropped, seems to be a copy, possibly by Domenico, after Jacopo. The position of the figures is not dissimilar to that found in 1913-3-13-192 (see entry).
