- Curator's comments
- Originally described as a bust of 'Vitellius', it is rather closer to one of Julius Caesar.
The Tietzes listed this drawing among those of Tintoretto's workshop. The verso, which was published by Hadeln as by Jacopo (1922), is according to them close to Domenico's style.
