Emblematic portrait of Francisco de Moura Cortereal, Governor of the Netherlands, study for a print; standing beneath an arch, in armour, Pallas and Mercury on plinths at either side holding wreaths over his head, above a coat left blank for his arms, borne by an eagle, flanked on either side by a portrait bust, below are four figures of river gods and a view of a palace. c.1655
