A hawking party; in the left foreground a man on horseback removes the hood from a hawk perched on his right hand, in front of him stands a man with a hoop hanging from straps over his shoulders upon which are perched several more birds; at centre stands another man calling out to two dogs in the right foreground; in the hilly background are groups of various onlookers, some mounted on horseback. 1814
