- Formerly in a bound volume of etchings by Paul Sandby, collected by his descendent and biographer William Sandby and bequeathed by him to the British Museum. The binding was removed in 2012, but the contents (apart from a few mounted prints) have been kept in order in one box. See 1904, 0819.429 for further details.
William Sandby was apparently under the impression that the print was a copy by Paul: see 1904,0819.430.
An impression of the plate is included in the departmental copy of Ryland and Bryer's 1765 collected edition of Sandby's etchings: see 1850.1014.538. Both this and the present album also include impressions of an etching by Laroon, apparently also considered to be a copy by Sandby.
