- Curator's comments
- This volume was published around 1900 by the Plantin-Moretus Museum in Antwerp. According to the foreword by Max Rooses, the plates were originally made by De Passe for Plantin to use as illustrations to a book of hours, but were never used at the time and thus published in this edition for the first time. Despite of the difference in subjects of the plates, Rooses states that the 46 plates were made for one book of hours and not for two different liturgic publications.
