- Thomas Edward Jones, the “notorious intruder”, known as “the Boy Jones” in the newspapers, broke into Buckingham Palace several times between 1838, when he was aged about 14 years old, and 1841, sometimes in disguise. He stole trivial souvenirs and served two short prison sentences and was the subject of much satirical comment
