The image is not based on any of the officially-sanctioned coronation portraits (for example, by Hayter, (engraving by H. Cousins, 1841,1113.1 or Chalon, 1850,0525.31). Queen is wearing a fanciful and completely inaccurate coronet. The Coronation Crown on the table lacks two of its four arches. The new Imperial State Crown, by Rundell, Bridge & Rundell was not seen until a few days before the coronation, when it was exhibited at their premises in Ludgate Hill
