Double portrait, prince Frederick standing to left, right hand on his hip, gesturing with left hand, wearing robes lined with pale satin, cloak thrown back over right elbow, tied with a rope ending in a large tassell, with the chain of the garter, own hair curling over his shoulders, his sister Anne standing to right, holding out a wreath of laurel to her brother, with pearls in her hair and a cloak attached to left shoulder, hooked up at the waist, both looking towards the viewer, with a classical architectural backdrop.
