Family portrait of Jacob Jordaens with his parents and eight of his brothers and sisters (wrongly titled as a family portrait of Rubens); the family sitting at a round table with a basket of bread, the young painter seated at left with a lute on his lap, his father Jacob Jordaens Senior sitting behind the table, facing front and holding a glass, Jordaens' mother Barbara van Wolschaten at right and holding a small child while another caresses it, two younger women sitting either side of her, a maidservent behind holding a platter of grapes, a boy (one of twins Abraham and Isaac) in foreground stroking a dog beside him, three of the painter's dead siblings floating above as cherubs; after Jacob Jordaens; published state. 1780
