Double portrait, both three-quarter length, the uncle with left hand on the boy's shoulder, right hand at his hip, holding the edge of a fur mantle, a band of fur around his neck, chest exposed and painted, ears split, the nephew also with bare but undecorated chest and a band of fur around the neck, holding an eagle in his arms, both looking directly towards the viewer, in a forest; after Verelst.
