- Curator's comments
- Copy after a plate in Turner's Liber Studiorum. The subject, from the category EP ('Epic Pastoral') was published without title, and gained the title of 'The Hindu Worshipper' in the nineteenth century. It has recently been more correctly described as a representation of the Temple of Minerva Medica. The plate, drawn and etched by Turner and engraved by R. Dunkarton, bears the date of publication Jan 1 1811 (Forrester, cat 23).
