'A Faithful account of the processions and ceremonies observed in the Coronation of the Kings and Queens of England : exemplified in that of their late most sacred majesties King George the Third, and Queen Charlotte: with all the other interesting proceedings connected with that magnificent festival. Embellished with elegant engravings. Edited by Richard Thomson' (London: John Major) 1820; containing a foldade frontispiece showing the 'Form of procession to the coronation of the sovereigns of England' etched by F. Deeves, and 3 plates: the 'Ground plan of part of the city of Westminster, as it appeared at the coronation of King George II 1761' etched by Rowe, 'The champion performing the ceremony of the challenge in Westminster Hall' etched by Scott, and 'The ancient coronation chair and regalia of England' etched by J. Rowe after R. Thomson; with wood-engraved tail-piece at the end of the text. Also including preface, table of contents, errata, direction for placing of engravings, list of book consulted and publisher's advertisement. Together with Cornelius Walford's bookplate, various newspaper cuttings about coronations pasted in blak pages before the book, and various blank sheets at the end. Bound in brown half-leather, marbled covers, raised bands with title in gold at the spine, brown endpapers and marbled edges.
