'The pictorial album; or, Cabinet of paintings, for the year 1837. Containign eleven designs, executed in oil colours, by G. Baxter, from the original pictures, with illustrations in verse and prose' (London, Chapman & Hall) 1837; containing 9 tipped-in plates by Baxter: 'Cape Wilberforce Australia, discovered by Capt. Flanders in HMS Investigator 1802' after Westall, 'Verona' after Prout, 'Cleopatra (Guido)' after Sharpe, 'Lugano' after Barnard, 'Interior of the lady chapel Warwick' after Holland, 'The Boa Ghaut' after Westall, 'Zenobia' after Pickersgill, 'Destruction of Sodom Gen. 19 24' after Jones, and 'Jenny Dean's interview with the Queen' after Seyffarth. Together with frontispiece showing a lady holding a dove after Miss F. Corbaux, titled 'The carrier pigeon', vignette after Westall on title-page with Robert Burns embracing Highland Mary as she ties sheaves of cereal, dedication to 'His Majesty', table of contents, list of illustrations and preface. Inscribed pen and ink dedication on flypage 'Frank A. Basetee / from Horace & F. Harried / May 17th 1897'. Bound in brown leather with gold and green tooled border and title on covers and spine, with gilded edges.
