View of Lyon, after Cléric; with figures loading and unloading barges on a quay in foreground, beyond the Saône river, and on the opposite bank the city stretching at the bottom of a hill; in the top left corner, a drapery bearing the names of prominent figures from Lyon and their coats of arms, carried by angels; at the bottom, a dedication on either side of a pedestal decorated with a relief representing two river deities, and supporting a lion and a coat of arms; the title of the plate is engraved on a banner hanging from the top part of the border framing the image. c.1700/30
