The arrest of Charlotte Corday following the assassination of Marat, 13 July 1793: interior with on the right three men lifting Marat's body and carrying it away from his bathtub, while a distressed Simonne Evrard looks on; on the left Corday looking at her victim absent-mindedly while a man seizes her around the waist and drags her out of the room; another man grabs her wrist. c.1793 Stipple engraving
