- Acquisition notes
- The 208 prints (1897,0113.3 to 211) were reported by Colvin as forming a collection of 'rare Italian etchings, late 16th and 17th century, of topography, costume, masques by land and water, ceremonies etc.'. Some have written on them the name of Johann Adam von Greis, and it appears that all the prints come from a single album that he had formed at the time and which was broken up before or on purchase by the BM.
