A satire on the 1768 general election in Derbyshire;A street scene; a woman leans out of a window exclaiming "I think I have flung the Country Esquires INDEPENDENCY Ha' Ha' Ha"; beside her in the street a shabbily dressed man with a whip and spurs on his boots says "By Gar my young master now will get me de van good Place.", to his right two smartly dressed gentlemen speak to two gentlemen in ermine robes; the former say "I here present your Graces with the LIBERTIES of D-rb-sh-re.", "Your Graces may command my services I can do nothing with you."; the latter respond: "Tis well done, I had no dislike to the IDEA of a PATRIOT K-g; But-", "you justly merit our united thanks the county is now ours: nothing Sr but your superior courage and honesty could have surmounted the difficulty."; above the figures is a set of balanced scales with a chapeau labelled "Pro Patria" on one side and two crowns on the other;
