Plate 7: a ruinous garret with Idle and a young woman in a bed which is collapsing at the foot; she examines jewellery and watches that he has stolen, while he starts in alarm as a cat crashes down the chimney; a pair of pistols lie beside the bed, a hooped petticoat hangs on the wall, a rat runs across the floor, the door is wedged shut with planks. 1747
