Title-page to John Ellis, 'S. Austin Imitated, or Retractions and Repentings in Reference unto the Late Civil and Ecclesiastical Changes in this Nation' (London, W. Godbid for Timothy Garthwait, 1662); title in centre, flanked by two pillars; on the top of the left pillar a cathedral and the inscription 'Christi', on the top of the right pillar a crown and the inscription 'Caroli', the two joined by a depiction of a man embracing a kneeling child, inscribed below 'Luke: 15'; scene in an oval on the left pillar of a king receiving kneeling figures, with the inscription '" Sam: 19'; scene in an oval on the right pillar of a figure kneeling before a priest, with the inscription '1 Peter: 3'; the pillars resting on books inscribed 'Leges Angliae Verbum dej'; at the bottom, a plinth with the inscription 'Aliud fundamentum nemo Iaciat: 1 Cor. 3'.
